If I don't call don't get worried

That's what my husband said to me a while ago.

He let me know that if he didn't call for a few days to not be worried because he would be on a mission.

UM OK.

I worry even if he does call everyday. But today he didn't call. Ironically last night I was not able to sleep and tossed and turned all night. Plus my daughter couldn't go to sleep because she said she felt nervous. I told her there is nothing for her to be nervous about. This is all BEFORE he didn't call today.

So I have had a sad face today

I know he told me not to worry but that is not possible. I am always worried- I only take a break when he comes home.

Of course it is 4th of July weekend. I'm having another family over for some fun plus my brother and niece are here. So glad that I have been fortunate enough to have family here this summer. It has forced me to keep a strong face even when I felt it might not be possible. Today is that day. I went to TJ Max and saw the sign "keep calm and carry on" blaring in my face. I know God put it there for me to see. I'm trying my best and thank you God for the reminder.  :-)

This is for my hubby--

Oh its impossible not to worry! (((HUGS))) I hope the time goes by quickly until you get a call.

We were lucky to get a call from G.I. Joe twice a month when he's been deployed. And once a month is "normal" for him so believe me, I understand the anxiety.

July 4th celebrations are great distractions!

God bless your husband for his service and God bless you and your family for your service and sacrifices. We will keep you all in our prayers. Thinking of you all during this holiday and remembering those who are always in harms way for our freedom. Call if you ever need anything.

Hang in there, Cheryl! I hope he calls soon, and I know it's impossible not to worry unless he's standing next to you. Have fun with your brother and niece!

Youre a military wife, you're allowed to worry!! But I think I have to agree with that sign and god's role with that sign! I hope you can sleep tonight .. knowing God is watching over your hero!
Happy 4th!!

I hate that feeling. I wait to hear from hubby, and I get so excited every time the phone rings.....while the sound of the doorbell only produces nausea and panic.

Seems like it is always someone selling something, either way, and let me just say that I have become the biggest b*tch to salespeople during this deployment!

*sigh*

Hang in there!

Everyone's right; you can't help but worry. My sister sent me a sweet pink bookmark that says, "Keep Calm & Have A Cupcake". We can do this, sweetie! ♥

Great to find another mliitary blogging lady! ♥

Best way to put it, Stay Strong and Carry On. Nicely said! Mine tells me not to worry cause he is simply on base in Cali, but I still worry! It is a natural instinct for us ladies. Give him time and he will be done with his mission and drop you a surprise call!

I totally hate when they say that! It's in the "married to the military" handbook that we will always worry. Don't they understand that? LOL

{{hugs}} I hope you hear from him soon!

I agree, it's impossible not to worry until they are home with us! Keep calm and carry on. ♥

I know what you mean. I worry even when he calls but I also know that there are days when he's simply not able to call.
Do you still need help with Blog design? If you want to remove the line I can help you out with that since that shouldn't be a problem but if you want to change side width that will eaither influnce main area width or it will mess up your design.

I have just found your blog. My OH is in the UK RAF (airforce) - I am tickled by the irony - 'don't worry I am on a mission!' - how about don't worry, 'I am safely tucked up in a cushioned, room, safe form harm eating candy floss and watching romantic comedies!' Men - what are they like? I think all that fretting definitely kept him safer, so it wasn't wasted worry - it was good, useful, positive, mission critical worry! keeping the home fires burning and doing your bit from afar. ;)

I hope you were able to enjoy the 4th without worrying too much. But we're totally entitled to worry and deep down they are grateful we do so. But I definitely agree with Carmen, no news is good news :)
